Facts
How to create and manage facts — reusable context snippets that improve AI-powered analyses, summaries, and call center campaigns.
Facts
TheFactspage lets you store reusable pieces of background information about your organisation, topics, or domain. When you run an AI-powered analysis, summarisation, or call center campaign, you can attach one or more facts so the AI has the right context to produce accurate and relevant results.
As defined in the glossary: aFactis a piece of information which is included in the analysis alongside a document to give context for the AI model.
Why Facts Matter
AI models only know what they are told in each request. Without context, an analysis or summary may miss important nuances — for example, the AI may not know that a mentioned company name refers toyourorganisation, or that a specific term carries a particular meaning in your industry.
By supplying facts, you can:
- Give the AI background about your organisation, products, or competitors.
- Clarify terminology or abbreviations specific to your domain.
- Provide target personas or campaign objectives for call center operators.
- Ensure consistent framing across repeated analyses on the same subject.
Facts can be attached in many places across the application:
- News analysis— when analysing individual articles or groups of documents.
- Dashboard analysis— when running an in-depth analysis across an entire dashboard.
- Dashboard creation— when creating aNews TopicorEntitydashboard from a template (seeCreating a Dashboard).
- Call center campaigns— to brief the AI operator with organisation-specific background before a campaign starts.
- Deep Search— to guide the automated search with additional context.
The Default Fact
Each fact can be marked as thedefault fact. A default fact is automatically pre-selected as context whenever you open an analysis or the fact selector — you do not have to pick it every time.
Use the default fact for information that is almost always relevant, such as a short description of your organisation or your primary research focus. You can change or remove the default designation at any time.
Only one fact should typically be set as the default. If multiple facts are marked as default, all of them will be pre-selected automatically.
Writing Good Facts
⚠️Clarity is critical. The AI uses your fact text verbatim. Vague or ambiguous wording reduces the quality of results.
Keep these guidelines in mind:
- Be specific.Write"About us: Acme Corp is a Hungarian-based pharmaceutical distributor specialising in hospital supply chains"rather than just"About us". The latter gives the AI nothing to work with.
- Use complete sentences.Bullet points and abbreviations can confuse the model.
- Focus each fact on one topic.Instead of one long fact covering everything, create separate facts for your company overview, your competitors, and your target audience.
- Avoid internal jargon without explanation. If your fact uses an abbreviation or code name, spell it out:"Our CRM system (SalesForce) tracks all customer interactions".
| ❌ Poor wording | ✅ Better wording |
|---|---|
| About us | About us: Acme Corp is a Budapest-based pharmaceutical distributor. |
| Competitors | Our main competitors are PharmaCo and MediSupply, both operating in the EU market. |
| Target audience | Our target audience: hospital procurement managers aged 35–55 in Central Europe. |

Using Facts in Analyses
Whenever you open an analysis dialog (for example in News, Dashboards, or Deep Search), you will see aFactssection. The fact selector:
- Pre-selects any facts you have marked as default.
- Lets you add, remove, or replace facts for that specific analysis without changing the saved defaults.
- Offers anAI Suggestionbutton (when documents are available) that recommends which of your saved facts are most relevant to the current content.
- Lets you create a new fact on the spot without leaving the dialog.
