How to add text and URL notes, save articles from search results, edit notes, and delete notes individually or in bulk.

Handling Notes

TheNotespage shows all your personal notes. You can filter, edit, and delete them from here, as well as add new ones.

Adding a Text Note

A text note lets you write down anything you want to remember — an observation, a summary, or a quick thought.

  1. Go toNews → Notes.
  2. Click+ Add from text.
  3. Type your note in the text field (up to 4096 characters).
  4. ClickAdd.

The note appears in your list immediately.

Adding a URL Note

A URL note saves a web address as a clickable link.

  1. Go toNews → Notes.
  2. Click+ Add from URL.
  3. Paste or type the web address into the URL field.
  4. ClickAdd.

Saving an Article as a Note

When you find a relevant article in theNews → Searchpage, you can save it directly as a note using theSave to notesbutton on the result card. The note will store the article's title and URL so you can find and open it later. SeeUsing Search Resultsfor more on what you can do with search results.

Editing a Note

You can edit text notes and URL notes after they have been saved.

  1. Go toNews → Notes.
  2. Find the note you want to change and click theEdit(pencil) button on its card.
  3. Update the text or URL.
  4. ClickSave.

Document notes (articles saved from search results) cannot be edited, as they are references to existing content.

Bookmarking a Note

If you want to share a saved article with your organization, you can promote it to a bookmark:

  1. Find the document or search result note you want to share.
  2. Click theBookmarkbutton on the note card.
  3. Choose an existing collection or create a new one.
  4. ClickSave.

The article is now available to all members of your organization inNews → Bookmarks. SeeAbout Bookmarksfor more details.

Deleting a Note

To remove a single note:

  1. Go toNews → Notes.
  2. Click theDeletebutton on the note card.

The note is removed immediately.

Deleting Multiple Notes

To delete several notes at once:

  1. ClickSelecton each note you want to remove.
    • To select every note in your list, clickSelect allin the toolbar.
  2. Once at least one note is selected, the selection toolbar appears.
  3. ClickDelete (N)in the toolbar, whereNis the number of selected notes.

Note deletion is permanent. There is no restore option for notes.

Searching Within Your Notes

When you have more than one note, a search box appears at the top of theNotespage. Type to filter your notes by their content in real time.
