# Analyzing Notes

Document and search result notes can be sent to AI analysis directly from the [Notes]({APP_HOST}/notes) page. You can analyze a single note or select several at once for a combined analysis session.

## Analyzing a Single Note

1. Go to [News → Notes]({APP_HOST}/notes).
2. Find the note you want to analyze (it must be a document or search result note).
3. Click the **Analyze** (wand) button on the note card.
4. The analysis dialog opens with that document preloaded.
5. Ask questions, request a summary, or choose an analysis template.

> Text notes and URL notes do not have an individual **Analyze** button. To analyze their content, select them along with other notes and use the bulk analysis described below.

## Analyzing Multiple Notes

You can select several notes and analyze them together in a single session. This is useful when you want a cross-document summary or want to compare findings across multiple sources.

1. Go to [News → Notes]({APP_HOST}/notes).
2. Click **Select** on each note you want to include in the analysis.
   - To include all notes, click **Select all** in the selection toolbar.
3. Once at least one note is selected, the selection toolbar appears.
4. Click **Analyze (N)** in the toolbar, where *N* is the number of selected notes.
5. The analysis dialog opens with all selected items preloaded.
6. Ask questions or request a summary covering all the selected content.

After the analysis, click **Clear selection** to deselect all notes.

## Sending Notes to Deep Search

If the Deep Search feature is available in your subscription, you can forward selected notes to [News → Deep Search]({APP_HOST}/documents/deepsearch) for a deeper, more thorough investigation. See [Using Deep Search](../deep-search/using-deep-search) for a full guide.

1. Go to [News → Notes]({APP_HOST}/notes).
2. Select the notes you want to research further.
3. Click **→ Deep Search (N)** in the selection toolbar.

You will be taken to the Deep Search page with your selected notes already loaded as source material.

## Tips

- Combine related notes before analyzing to get the most coherent cross-document insights.
- Use analysis templates in the dialog to apply consistent prompts across different sets of notes. See [Analysis Templates](../analysis/analysis-templates) for details on saving and reusing templates.
- For a full guide to the options available in the analysis dialog, see [Analysis Options](../analysis/analysis-options).
- For a guide to reading and sharing results, see [Analysis Results](../analysis/analysis-results).
- Analysis results are generated using the AI vendors configured for your organization and may consume credits. See [Credits]({APP_HOST}/billing/credits) for details.
