# Logging In

Welcome to our business intelligence solution! This guide will help you sign in to the application and access all the features available to your organization.

## Getting Started

To access the application, you'll need to sign in with your credentials. The application supports industry-standard identity providers to ensure secure and convenient access.

### Step 1: Navigate to the Sign-In Page

Open your web browser and visit the application URL provided by your organization. You will be automatically directed to the sign-in page if you are not already logged in.

### Step 2: Choose Your Identity Provider

The application supports sign-in through an **Identity System** (such as Microsoft Entra, Google, or other providers). Click on the sign-in option that matches your organization's setup.

### Step 3: Enter Your Credentials

Follow the sign-in flow for your identity provider:
- Enter your email address or username
- Enter your password
- Complete any additional security steps (such as multi-factor authentication, if enabled)

### Step 4: Access the Application

Once successfully authenticated, you will be redirected to the [home page]({APP_HOST}/). You're now ready to explore the business intelligence features available to you.

## Troubleshooting

### I Can't Sign In

- **Verify your credentials**: Double-check that you're using the correct email address and password.
- **Check your identity provider**: If you're unsure which identity provider your organization uses, contact your administrator or our support team.
- **Browser compatibility**: Ensure you're using a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).
- **Clear browser cache**: If you encounter persistent issues, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, then attempt to sign in again.

### I Forgot My Password

Password reset is managed through your organization's **Identity System**. Click "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page and follow the recovery instructions provided by your identity provider.

### I Don't Have an Account

If you don't have an account, contact your organization's administrator or [sign up]({APP_HOST}/signup). They can:
- Create a new account for you
- Send you an invitation to join the organization
- Configure the appropriate **[User Role](../settings/user-management)** and permissions for your needs

### Multi-Factor Authentication Issues

If your **Identity System** has enabled multi-factor authentication (MFA):
- Ensure your authenticator app or security device is set up correctly
- Check that your system time is synchronized
- Contact your administrator if you need to reset your MFA settings

## Security Best Practices

- **Keep your password secure**: Never share your password with anyone, including administrators.
- **Use strong passwords**: Choose a password that is difficult to guess and unique.
- **Log out when finished**: Always log out when you're done using the application, especially on shared computers.
- **Enable multi-factor authentication**: If available, enable MFA for additional security.
