How to create, edit, rename, pause, and delete alert rules, and how to browse triggered alerts.

Handling Alerts

TheAlertspage is divided into two tabs:

  • Alerts— the chronological feed of every notification that has been triggered.
  • Rules— the list of configured alert rules that drive the monitoring.

Browsing Triggered Alerts

OpenAlertsto see the feed. Each entry shows the matched content, the rule that produced it, and the time it was detected. You can:

  • Filter by rule— use the rule drop-down at the top to narrow the feed to a single rule.
  • Search— type in the search box to find alerts by text content.
  • Load more— clickLoad more alertsat the bottom of the list to fetch older entries.
  • Analyze— select one or more alerts and clickAnalyzeto open an AI analysis dialog over the selected content.

Listing Alert Rules

Switch to theRulestab atAlerts → Rules. Every rule is shown as a card displaying its name, type, frequency, and attached notification methods. If you have paused rules you can hide them with theHide paused rulescheckbox.

ClickAlertson a rule card to jump directly to the alerts feed filtered to that rule.

Creating a New Rule

  1. On either theAlertsorAlerts → Rulespage, clickNew rule.
  2. Select the type of monitoring you want. SeeTypes of Monitoringsfor descriptions of every option.
  3. Complete the type-specific configuration (data source, URL, keyword, etc.).
  4. Set thefrequency— how many hours should pass between checks.
  5. Add one or morenotification methods(e-mail address, phone number, Teams webhook, etc.). SeeNotifications.
  6. Optionally give the rule a display name.
  7. ClickCreate.

The rule becomes active immediately and starts monitoring at the configured frequency.

Editing a Rule

On theAlerts → Rulespage, find the rule card and clickEdit. The edit dialog lets you:

  • Change thefrequency— how often the rule checks for new content.
  • Add, edit, or removenotification methodsattached to the rule.

To change the rule's name, clickRenameinstead and enter the new name in the prompt.

Pausing and Resuming a Rule

If you want to temporarily stop a rule from running without deleting it:

  • Click thePausebutton (⏸) on the rule card to suspend monitoring.
  • Click theResumebutton (▶) to restart it.

Paused rules are shown with a visual indicator on the card. Use theHide paused rulescheckbox to declutter the view when you have many rules.

Deleting a Rule

On theAlerts → Rulespage, clickDeleteon the rule card and confirm the prompt. Deleting a rule is permanent — all configuration for that rule is removed. The alerts previously generated by the rule remain in the feed.
